Semi-quick update for all of you. Remember; if you've any suggestions or questions, please do not hesitate to contact either me (or one of these fine persons above) in relation to the Traditional Art Gallery. If we cannot personally help you, we'll be sure to place it into the hands of someone who can.
//report Desk
We're still severely backed up as far as the Report Desk is concerned. We're slowly chipping away at it, but it seems for every Report we take care of
three replace it. Don't worry, we'll get to them all; it's just taking a lot longer than anticipated. Thankyou all for being so proactive and helping us clean up the galleries. We truly appreciate it.
//scraps Gallery
Scraps. Ah, scraps. The misunderstood and often neglected gallery. I've spoken of this in the past, but re-iterating never hurt anyone:
Every deviant has one, whether or not you use it is ultimately up to you. It's there nonetheless, a perfect place to put anything you'd rather not have in your gallery.
Some perfect examples would be: Works in Progress, lined paper sketches, badly scanned in photographs, snapshots of you and your friends. Only refined pieces of art/literature should be in your gallery. This is who-you-are, is how you present yourself to the world on deviantART.
Yet, sometimes, you may find one of your refined deviations moved there. At first, this may confuse you. Hell, it might even piss you off. You might think to yourself, "What? Are they saying my work is crap?".
No. Not in the slightest.
There are a fair few reasons why your deviation may have been moved to Scraps. Up to but not limited to: We are unsure of where it should go (but know that it shouldn't be where it was), as a Holding Zone, or because it was one of the aforementioned reasons. There are so many deviations we deal with on a daily basis via the Report Desk that moving every one of them to the correct gallery is a feat in itself. We always attempt to, though. Know that.
If you're unsure, by all means do contact the ~helpdesk, but by all means do not move it back. It was definitely moved for a reason, to move it back into the same gallery doesn't accomplish anything. Submit your inquiry and wait for us to return back to you explaining why.
If you still feel this is in error, rationally explain why you believe it to be in the correct category. We're human, just like you, and may have misunderstood. In either case, we're here to help you help us make deviantART a wonderful smooth and enjoyable experience.
//copyright Violations
The Artist Relation team
does not handle copyright violations. There is no if, ands, or buts about that. If you see a screen-shot, an image yanked from google, et cetera please, please,
please report it as a Copyright Infringement and not a Miscategorisation.
I've seen a lot of deviations being reported that are actually Copyright Infringements. We at deviantART do not allow the upload of manipulated images found via the web (be it google, photobucket, or other). If you happen to come across any, please report it as a Copyright Violation and not and Miscategorisation. The only exception to this is legally used stocks either found via deviantART or other stock sites (sxc.hu, et cetera) and credited as such in the Artist Commentary.

► I only accept suggestions for the Traditional Art Gallery.
► Send it to me in a Note with the title: "DD Suggestion" (or some other variance).
► Honest- I probably won't reply back to you.
► Please only send your suggestion to one gallery director.
