It's been a wick'd whirlwind of a week, heh. Lots of happenings on and off dA, up to and including an interview and a feature. Thank you both, `breaking-reality and =intao. <3

//report Desk(and Scraps)

I'd like to take a minute to discuss with you the Scraps Gallery.

Every deviant has one, whether or not you use it is ultimately up to you. It's there nonetheless, a perfect place to put anything you'd rather not have in your gallery.

Some perfect examples would be: Works in Progress, lined paper sketches, badly scanned in photographs, snapshots of you and your friends. Only refined pieces of art/literature should be in your gallery. This is who-you-are, is how you present yourself to the world on deviantART.

Yet, sometimes, you may find one of your refined deviations moved there. At first, this may confuse you. Hell, it might even piss you off. You might think to yourself, "What? Are they saying my work is crap?".

No. Not in the slightest.

There are a fair few reasons why your deviation may have been moved to Scraps. Up to but not limited to: We are unsure of where it should go (but know that it shouldn't be where it was), as a Holding Zone, or because it was one of the aforementioned reasons. There are so many deviations we deal with on a daily basis via the Report Desk that moving every one of them to the correct gallery is a feat in itself. We always attempt to, though. Know that.

If you're unsure, by all means do contact the ~helpdesk, but by all means do not move it back. It was definitely moved for a reason, to move it back into the same gallery doesn't accomplish anything. Submit your inquiry and wait for us to return back to you explaining why.

If you still feel this is in error, rationally explain why you believe it to be in the correct category. We're human, just like you, and may have misunderstood. In either case, we're here to help you help us make deviantART a wonderful smooth and enjoyable experience.

//up and Coming

There's a wick'd Traditional Art contest going on, one I seriously suggest all artists to give a go. Contest info is here!

//daily Deviation Suggestions

So you'd like to suggest a Daily Deviation to me? Awesome! Here are a few tips and tricks:

:bulletblue: I only accept suggestions from the Traditional Art Gallery.
:bulletblue: Please take care to explain to me why you believe it should be featured.
:bulletblue: Send it to me in a Note with the title: "DD Suggestion" (or some other variance)
:bulletblue: Honest- I probably won't reply back to you. This has nothing to do with you and has everything to do with it's easier for me to make my decision spot-on. If I were to reply to every suggestion I receive, I'd never have time to feature anything, heh.
:bulletblue: I may choose another piece from the deviants gallery. IF this is the case, I will list you as the suggester. This is also the only case where I will reply to you; to let you know my decision. It's also the perfect time for you to speak up if you wish not to have your name listed.
:bulletblue: Please only send your suggestion to one gallery director. This eliminates confusion. If the piece hasn't been featured in a months time, then you may send it along to another.
:bulletblue: This is perhaps most important: DO NOT SUGGEST YOURSELF. I will disregard it.

Easy peasy, nice 'n breezy.

Thank you for the short article on the "Report Desk and Scraps". I know some friends who've had issues of moved artwork with no reason given, and this helps deflate the brief flare-up of tempers. Thank you for all the work you and your fellow colleagues do. :)
