Hey Guys! Rocky reporting in for duty! I've just come back, sunburned, broke, and refreshed, and just in time to tell you all the uber exciting things that has happened since the last AR Update!

So let's dive right on in. The water is absolutely beautiful!


I love that dA gives us all the power to keep our communities organised, whether it be your own personal gallery, or that of your own personal tastes.

I really love the fact that you guys care so much to make sure that our gallery, Manga/Anime stay as neat and tidy as it is through all of your Report Desk Inquiries we get on a daily basis. It truly shows us how dedicated you all are to your community!

Just a quick pointer, make sure that if you're reporting a copyright issue (i.e. Screenshots of an anime and the like), to use the option: "Copyright Infringement" on the dropdown and provide a link to where you found it elsewhere as proof of it's violation. We do not handle copyright violations, as this is handled by CEA.


It has come to our attention that this is something that needs to be addressed.

When submitting Fanart to dA, please be sure to submit it as such. Because of it's overwhelming popularity on dA, it seemed only right that it be given it's own Gallery, so please be sure to submit it as such.

So, for example... if you drew a picture of Sailor Moon (from the manga) with your coloured pencils, you would submit it like this:

Cartoon, Comic & Manga > Fan Works > Manga > Traditional Work

If you were to draw a picture of Lina Inverse from Slayers with your tablet and Photoshop, you would submit it like this:

Cartoon, Comic & Manga > Fan Works > Anime > Digital Work

Summer is a time of relaxation and vacationing, kicking back and exploring the world. Because of this, a lot has been unfortunately left on a temporary hold. I want you all to be aware that once everything calms down and gets back to normal as we approach the Fall, you will be seeing so many wonderful community projects and newsletters and the like... so many, you'll be crying for us all to stop! ;)

In the meantime, the deadline for July's Mini Repeating Contest is in 9 hours (plenty of time!) and the next will kick off on August 1st. The theme will be: Music!

Please don't hesitate to let me know of any contests or projects floating around for Manga/Anime you would like me to feature here. Just pop me over a note and I'll be sure to include it!
